Hotel Le Samoyede is situated in a fantastic location a very short walk from the marvellous new Pleney lift & opposite the Tourism Office, whilst we visited the town we found it to be a quite location, even though it was most central.
The room we had, number 29 was decorated in shall we say the traditional style of a chalet room, with lots of exposed timber, a great balcony with a view of Pointe De Nyon, however most importantly the room was superbly furnished to a very high standard, immaculately clean and lovely and warm, the TV had a good selection of UK channels and the hotel had fantastic WIFI.
The restaurant - we booked half board, breakfast was continental style - but plenty of it, on a large buffet, so no lack of quantity to fuel you for a day skiing, the hotel is only quite small, Dinner was a set menu each evening however it was a gastronomic delight - four courses each evening, created by a chef with real talent. The hotel has possibly one of the best restaurants in Morzine so pack a suitable shirt so you don't look like the scruffy skier in the corner!!
The hotel has a comfortable bar area with first class service, a ski locker room in the hotel which is a very easy walk from the main lift and you have the benefit of a bus stop outside for connection through to Avoriaz. I didn't try the new spa!
All this said the highlight of the hotel is the staff and owners - they go beyond and 5 star rating, such lovely people.
